Don’t let evan dunfee walk alone - Tokyo 2020
Speed walking looks funny, but KD doesn’t care. Neither does Olympic race walker Evan Dunfee. After the brand discovered that Evan grew up eating KD, Canada’s favourite mac and cheese decided to rally fans around the country’s only speed walker competing in the Tokyo 2020 Games.
Evan got the full “Wheaties” treatment, complete with a signature box of KD and limited line of Evan Dunfee (or ‘ED’) speed walking gear that fans could win on social for posting their own speed walking videos.
Evan ended up taking the bronze medal in the Men’s 50k Event with a final race time of 3 hours, 50 minutes and 59 seconds. KD celebrated his victory by donating 35, 059 boxes of mac and cheese to the Richmond, BC Food Bank in Evan’s hometown.
